News. Plastic Pact Packs Punch
The UK Plastic Pact packs a punch! Its unified, hard hitting mission sets out to ban all single use plastic by 2025! Now this IS powerful.
The 40+ strong union comprises all the supermarkets multi-nationals and other big high street names including M&S; also Unilever and Proctor & Gamble. Combined, these firms account for over 80% of the UK's plastic packaging sold in our stores.
Led by the sustainability campaign group WRAP, the pact is described as a 'once-in-a lifetime opportunity' to rethink plastic both to make use of its value and to stop it damaging the environment.
Here at the WCD Group we have already stopped providing single use water bottles for charity and business use and instead will be encouraging folk to fill up their sports bottles from a (plumbed in) water cooler or drinking water fountain. Check out our product pages.
