Fizzy Drinks Banned in Camden School
A school in Camden, London has reportedly become the first in the UK to become a ‘water only' school after banning fizzy drinks.
The idea behind the scheme is to improve pupil's grades by helping them to better concentrate. To ensure a complete ban the school has become a water only school so as not to confuse teachers over coloured drinks, who want to avoid ‘examining' drinking.
It is a controversial move with some parents claiming it is more like a ‘fat camp' than a place of education, but with a rising number of children considered overweight or obese shouldn't we applaud the school for taking positive action against the obesity epidemic.
